Yesterday our social studies class watched a United Nations conference speaker. At 13 years of age, she travelled 5000 miles to give a seven minute speech and what an impact it had on the conference. She spoke of the greed that many countries have and the massive changes that take place everyday right in front of us. She spoke of how so many adults tell us not to do certain things at a young age such as being greedy, and yet they are hypocrites themselves. The impact the girl's speech had was quite big, and now, thanks to that girl my eyes are seeing what really is going on.
